Atlas + Reed is a boutique architecture studio working at the intersection of residential, hospitality, and adaptive reuse — across the Pacific Northwest and (occasionally) beyond.
Atlas + Reed was founded in 2017 around a shared idea: architecture practiced at the scale where the architect still knows the carpenter, the client, and the lighting plan by heart. We take on six to eight projects a year, never more — because anything beyond that means the principals stop drawing and start managing.
The studio has six architects, all licensed, all in the Portland office. We work primarily across the Pacific Northwest but have done projects in California, Montana, and (once) Maine. Every project has at least one principal on it from first sketch to final inspection.
